How to install an application or stack icon into HyperBase.
1. Option-Click (hold down the Option key and Click the mouse button once) in one of the "Unnamed" button-icons.
2. You will be asked if you want to install a Macintosh Application (program) or a HyperCard Stack. Select "Stack", "Application" or "Cancel".
3. The standard Macintosh File Dialog List will appear. Find and Select (either double-click on the name or click in the "Open" button) the application or stack that you wish to install.
4. HyperBase will install the application or stack ICON, Name and a launch script into the "Unnamed" button-icon that you option-clicked. Do not modify any HyperBase icon-button scripts!
5. To launch the application or stack simply click (once) on its HyperBase icon-button. The first time that you do this HyperBase may ask you to find the applications location with the standard Macintosh File Dialog. In future (unless you move or rename the application) HyperBase will remember where the application is located.
5. Hypercard occasionally "forgets" a buttons icon. If a button-icon disappears (leaving only its name) simply "option-click" on the name to reinstall the application.This procedure can also be used to change the application that is installed into a button-icon.
6. Compacting a stack immediately after installing a new button-icon may cause HyperCard to "forget the icon". To avoid this first exit the HyperBase stack (to another stack) and reenter HyperBase before compacting the HyperBase Stack.
